I, Tina (Tee-Nah), am a Middle School Principal in the Mississippi Delta, who loves music, shopping, and all things family. I enjoy learning more about people and their stories. The past 10 months have been the most difficult of my life because I lost my mother and my brother 5 months and 8 days apart. Although I am still processing, I am excited about the work we are about to engage in. I have been in Education for over 20 years. I was a high school Science/Math Teacher for 13 years, worked in Higher Ed with UTEP at the University of Chicago for 3 years and I have been in Secondary Administration for 6 years. I’m very passionate about making space for myself and others to have experiences that impact us and challenge us to evaluate ourselves. Hopefully, that evaluation leads to affirmation and growth. I’m outspoken but not an extrovert, thus I need alone to process and sit with things. This is not my way of isolating myself, it’s simply the space I need.
