My name is Selina (Suh-Lee-Nuh) Ortiz, I am currently serving as the Sr. Assistant Principal of Instruction for a charter school in a dominantly Hispanic region. My experience in instructional leadership targets primary education, curriculum, including all grade levels in special education. I carry a humble approach when initially entering into unchartered areas but with the intention of learning amongst experts and replicating what I can within my own school community. Outside of my career, I am a special needs & LGBTQ+ mother of three and it has taught me how to love unconditionally and advocate for acceptance of inclusivity.
