Gil Garza is a Teach for America Rio Grande Valley 2016 alum. He taught High School STEM Physics and Robotics before transitioning into staff at the Rio Grande Valley regional team, where he served for 5 years. He is now the Manager of Participant Operations in the national CM and Alumni Leadership Development team, which simply means he oversees national operations for corps members and alumni. He has also been a part of both the TFA Prism and DACA National Advisory Boards. During his free time, Gil likes to kayak, build tiny houses, enjoy a good film, and take care of his fur baby.
