As the Managing Director of School and Systems Leadership, Casey (she/her/hers) works closely with rural and native serving regions to identify pathways, supports, and opportunities for rural educators and school districts. Casey started her teaching career teaching 8th grade literacy as a 2012 Greater Delta corps member in Blytheville, Arkansas. In Blytheville Arkansas, Casey also served as a School Principal and District School Improvement Specialist. After nine years in the Delta, Casey moved to Nashville, Tennessee to work on Teach For America’s staff supporting Alumni and Network leaders through running the Nashville Aspiring School Leader Fellowship and supporting the program design from start to finish of the Corps Member experience. In this role, Casey realized that rural education was her passion and transitioned into a hybrid role between the Idaho Team and the National Alumni Program and Leadership Team. In all her roles, one thing has remained true and that is that Casey is passionate about creating inclusive and equity-focused adult learning and leadership development opportunities and thrives when she is able to see adults learning, growing, and collaborating with one another. In Casey’s free time, she loves to travel, cook, make artisan mocktails and cocktails, and spend time with her family.
