Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS) offers Teach For America members and alumni a 30% tuition discount.
Tuition discounts are awarded to Teach For America members and alumni who complete at least one term of service.
VLGS offers flexible options for obtaining an advanced degree. You can pursue your master’s on campus, online, or through a hybrid model; or earn your juris doctor (JD) through an on-campus or online hybrid program.
To maintain the tuition discount, which is applicable to all degree programs, recipients must maintain continuous registration and remain in good academic standing according to Vermont Law and Graduate School’s standards.
The tuition discount described above represents the minimum award for Teach For America members; applicants will be considered for additional merit-based aid depending on the academic strength of their application.

- Master of Public Policy with concentrations in animal protection policy, food and agricultural policy, energy regulation, justice reform policy, and transnational environmental policy

- Master of Arts in Restorative Justice
- Master of Legal Studies (available on campus only)

- Will match the Segal Education Award for qualified Teach For America members or alumni
- Enrollment deferral: Vermont Law and Graduate School will allow deferrals for up to one year if accepted applicants decide to serve additional time with Teach For America.

To Access the Application Fee Waiver and Apply for the Scholarship
To get the application fee waived and be considered for the scholarship, please request a service verification letter by emailing the Teach For America Alumni & Career Services Department with “Vermont Law and Graduate School: Teach For America verification letter request” in the subject line. Within the email, include the site where you served and dates of service. Then submit that letter to Vermont Law and Graduate School’s admissions office as an attachment to your application.
