In rural regions across the country, there is a strong demand for committed, effective school leaders. The Rural School Leadership Academy is open to all educators who are passionate about rural education and driven toward school leadership roles.
Program Overview
The Rural School Leadership Academy is a yearlong fellowship for aspiring and current school leaders working in rural communities. RSLA participants engage with a supportive and inspirational cohort of rural leaders and deepen the skills necessary to amplify and sustain their work in rural school leadership roles. The key program components include:
- Three cycles of professional development focused on building skill in school leadership competencies
- Visits to innovative Rural schools
- Cohort-based learning with rural leaders from across the country
- Expert content designed and delivered specifically with rural education leadership in mind
- Engagement with the RSLA network of over 300 rural leaders
- Optional completion of a certificate in Instructional Leadership or School Management and Leadership with Harvard Graduate School of Education
- Optional one on one leadership coaching
