Academic School Leadership Fellowship (ASLF)

Location: Remote/Hybrid (4 in-person regional events TBD), United States Experience Type: Teach for America Program

Teach For America’s Academic School Leadership Fellowship (ASLF) will develop your instructional leadership skills and support you as you explore school leadership pathways.
The Fellowship experience consists of three core components:
1) Cohort Development and Community: You will join a community of individuals committed to learning and growing together over the course of the academic year through monthly cohort based sessions focused on deepening your knowledge, skill, and confidence in advancing equity through high-quality instruction.
2) Teacher Development: You will be trained to lead data meetings and use the “See It, Name It, Do It” model of instructional coaching – and will be supported by TFA staff along the way.
3) Career Support and Development: You will receive career coaching from TFA staff, be matched with an education leader to learn from, and get the chance to build your network as you reflect on and plan for your career trajectory.
Upon successful completion of the Fellowship, Teach for America will support your continued development and career trajectory via special access to ongoing local and national development opportunities and ongoing career support.

The Fellowship is for you if you…
Are currently or want to be an instructional leader
Love seeing others succeed and will do what it takes to help them grow
Are hungry to learn and grow yourself via feedback, connections, reflection, and content learning
Can make a school-year-long commitment to Fellowship sessions, coaching, and related programming
Teach For America is committed to maximizing the diversity of the broader education equity movement. Individuals with identities underrepresented in education leadership (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, first-generation college graduate, etc.) are especially encouraged to apply for the Fellowship.

Please take ~30 minutes to complete the application. We’ll be in touch on next steps for the application process upon submission. The priority application deadline is Monday, May 13. Most decisions are shared within 48 hours (2 business days) of submitting an application.
